A traffic management plan (TMP) is most often required on large projects and work conducted on Main Roads (DTMR and RMS) assets. It details how the risks associated with plant and vehicle traffic are being managed in a workplace. It is an extensive document that addresses all elements of the location, conditions, all affected parties, drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians, to ensure safety and workable traffic conditions are achieved. At times for individual tasks on larger projects you will also require TGS’s for each of these tasks and will form part of the overarching TMP. A Traffic Plan is required before any works can commence.
